At Insurance Advisors, we encourage you to contact us when you have major changes in your life. We also reach out to you annually to make sure you have adequate coverage for your home and automobiles.
Simply put, we don’t want you to purchase insurance and then forget about it for years.
We think it pays for you to review your policies, at least on an annual basis. Who knows? You could be getting a better deal on a whole range of insurance products because needs and costs fluctuate frequently.
If we haven’t spoken to you recently, please let us know if you have had any significant changes in your life, such as moving into a new home, getting married or sending a child away to school.
You also might want to re-evaluate the value of your possessions and update your contents insurance after big events, like Christmas, birthdays, engagements or graduations.
Keep in mind, changes don’t necessarily mean your insurance premiums will increase.
For example, if your adult child moves out of the family home and takes his musical instruments with him, that could reduce the amount of insurance you need for your home’s contents. If he won’t be driving your car anymore, you can take him off your car insurance, which could save you a bundle.
Our best advice to you is don’t allow your policies renew automatically. Take the time for a review.
