There is a lot of confusion that the consumer faces when shopping for Auto Insurance. One big thing is what information is needed to get a "Real" quote versus a "Guesstimate". The bottom line is the minimum information required to get a complete quote is:
- Legal Name(s)
- Address
- Date(s) of Birth
- Drivers License Number(s)
- VIN Number(s) of Autos
If you have not provided this information, and there have not been MVR and CLUE reports run, the quote you are getting is, at best, a guess. Just something to keep in mind if you are getting offers that are too good to be true!
